La actividad fue denominada \u201cGastronom\u00eda Dominicana Digital\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante una semana, los comunicadores Ivonne Soriano y Juan de Dios Valent\u00edn, dedicaron sus plataformas de redes sociales y p\u00e1ginas web, para resaltar lo mejor de la gastronom\u00eda dominicana, creando contenido informativo de platos y productos ic\u00f3nicos dominicanos, con historia y origen, adem\u00e1s de pueblos donde son originarios o consumidos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La iniciativa cont\u00f3 con el aporte de reconocidos chefs dominicanos como: Odal\u00eds Rodr\u00edguez, Rodolfo Mesa (Chef Ramch), Manuel M\u00e9ndez (Chef Manu), Carolina Arias, Leandro D\u00edaz, Martin Omar, Chef July, Noem\u00ed D\u00edaz, Jacqueline Henr\u00edquez, La Chefa G\u00f3mez, Chef Tita, Deyanira Jackson, Le Chef Francisco, Arturo Feliz y Clara Gonz\u00e1lez, as\u00ed como las reposteras Neva L\u00f3pez y Greisy Saint Hilaire.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEsta semana la defino como un tributo a nuestra exquisita cocina, a nuestros platos llenos de sabores, colores y esa mezcla de ingredientes que, con el paso del tiempo, ha sido y ser\u00e1n parte de nuestra transculturizaci\u00f3n\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Juan de Dios Valent\u00edn, editor de&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodieandtraveler.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.foodieandtraveler.com<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la iniciativa, se motiv\u00f3 a los seguidores a participar subiendo fotos de los platos de acuerdo al calendario de publicaciones, utilizando el hastag #GastroDoDigital, al cual se unieron tambi\u00e9n los chefs, personalidades, y medios digitales. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFue incre\u00edble el apoyo de nuestras comunidades con esta actividad, los mensajes de apoyo que recibimos y la participaci\u00f3n activa de las personas compartiendo sus fotos en sus perfiles e historias. Tambi\u00e9n agradecemos a los colegas de medios digitales que nos apoyaron, a los colaboradores de nuestros medios y a los artistas y comunicadores que participaron compartiendo sus platos dominicanos favoritos con nuestros seguidores\u201d, indic\u00f3 Ivonne Soriano, editora de&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.depaseo.com.do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.depaseo.com.do<\/a>&nbsp;y&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.paladardepaseo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.paladardepaseo.com<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La semana dedicada a la gastronom\u00eda dominicana cont\u00f3 con el apoyo de Andr\u00e9s Carnes Malec\u00f3n, Urban Coffee Bar, Delicias Hirama, Productos Valle Verde, Greisy SH, CuatroPata, Az\u00facar &amp; Pimienta y Gustanini, quienes donaron premios para los participantes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cQueremos agradecer tambi\u00e9n el apoyo de Bol\u00edvar Troncoso Morales, presidente de la Fundaci\u00f3n Sabores Dominicanos y de la experta en cultura dominicana, Xiomarita P\u00e9rez\u201d, expres\u00f3 Soriano.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los organizadores indicaron que pretenden seguir desarrollando iniciativas de promoci\u00f3n de la gastronom\u00eda dominicana, siempre apoyados de sus plataformas de redes sociales, revistas digitales y otros medios de comunicaci\u00f3n donde colaboran. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Sobre la cocina dominicana&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La cocina dominicana es el resultado de choques culturales que a partir de la llegada de los espa\u00f1oles en 1492, impregnaron en la isla. A la llegada de estos, nuestros tainos ten\u00edan una gama de productos e ingredientes propios de su cocina. Los espa\u00f1oles introdujeron diversos productos en forma de plantas y con la llegada de los esclavos africanos en 1507, se incorpora nuevos platos de su repertorio muy artesanal como los caldos. La cocina de los ind\u00edgenas de la \u00e9poca, era muy sencilla. El proceso m\u00e1s elaborado era el del casabe. Sus platos eran t\u00edpicos de una cultura que se alimentaba de lo que la madre naturaleza le ofrec\u00eda como la yuca, el ma\u00edz, el palmito y otros tub\u00e9rculos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLa gastronom\u00eda dominicana ocupa un lugar importante en la regi\u00f3n del Caribe Insular, Am\u00e9rica Media o Central y Latinoam\u00e9rica, gracias a su diversidad de platos y sabores. Esto debido a los aportes de las culturas prehisp\u00e1nicas, espa\u00f1ola, africana y m\u00e1s de veinte grupos culturales llegados como inmigrantes en un per\u00edodo de m\u00e1s de quinientos a\u00f1os, generando un proceso de fusi\u00f3n importante. Sus sabores y esencias la hacen \u00fanica en el Gran Caribe\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Bol\u00edvar Troncoso.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Troncoso indic\u00f3 que gracias a los pioneros como Mike Mercedes, Sim\u00f3n Romero, Esperanza Lithgow, entre otros, unido a las actuales iniciativas de las j\u00f3venes generaciones de cocineros y chefs, las escuelas, instituciones, fundaciones, han compartido el surgimiento de la nueva o alta cocina dominicana, cuyo posicionamiento y difusi\u00f3n nacional e internacional la est\u00e1n colocando en un sitial importante.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cNo es un secreto a voces que somos apasionados de nuestra cocina, no importa el lugar donde se encuentre un dominicano, siempre sentir\u00e1 a\u00f1oranza por los platos que ve por las redes, lo conectan
